Poetic InnocenceFailure comes from knowledge!

There was once a time,
Where knowledge was unknown.

The poetry was clean,
Structural obscene.

But a thought crossed mind:
Let the knowledge expand!

And the knowledge did spread.

The knowledge changed me,
Criteria must be met.

Matching the stanzas,
With matching devices.

It's sickening to know such a thing,
Unable to be free; chained by corrections.

With knowledge in mind, my poetic innocence is gone.
LiesHit after hit; bruise after bruise.
The damage takes its toll.

So there you are;
With public eyes.

You may not have caused this,
But I cannot stare you in the eyes.

But then the dreaded words arrive:
"How are you?"

What am I suppose to say?
Am I to lie as in history?

Well I'm not good,
I can lie no more!

Depression leaves impressions,
As does mental dysfunction.

With every passing day,
With every passing moment,

The pressure builds up.
Far past any limit.

So you asked the question,
And I gave the answer.

By no definition of the word, am I okay.
HatredIt's there; I can see it.

Watching me, feeling me,
No sense is left untouched.

But why?
For happiness, for my wellbeing?

No.

For truth for reality?
For hatred.

The hatred is there;
I can feel it.

Confirming its place in my body.

Hatred will never fade away.
I will forever be hated.

Hatred is inevitable;
There's no escaping it.

So give it power,
Feed the hatred, call its name.

Hatred.
ReleaseI'm cold,
I'm dark,
I'm as depressed as can be.

So warm,
So bright,
Happiness galore!

The darkness,
The hatred,
Has all been lifted.

It's impossible,
Amazing,
This is surely a dream.

For my release,
Has released me,
Into a bearable world.

So magnificent,
So beautiful,
I will never fade again!

My release,
Has given me life once again;
The path to happiness.
